Hi, I’m Cindy, and welcome
to my weight loss site. If someone had told me ten years ago that I would never eat another cookie again, I wouldn’t
have believed them. I loved sweets and ate cookies, brownies, ice-cream and the like every day. In fact, the day wasn’t
complete without goodie treats to snack on! But it was perfectly okay, because for many years I was thin—in fact, too
thin. Up until my early 20’s, I wanted to gain weight! Even after two kids in my mid-20’s I was still slender
and eating anything I wanted.
But then in my early 30’s
my metabolism changed, and the more I tried to lose weight the more I gained, despite intense exercise. I yo-yo dieted myself
to almost obesity for my height. In 2001 at age 44 I discovered Somersize, a controlled-carb program explained by Suzanne
Somers, who wrote several books on this way of eating. Within six months I lost almost all I wanted, and I didn’t do
it by eating low-fat foods or depriving myself. I ate like a queen! I learned a whole new way of cooking and eating, which
kept my cravings under control and reprogrammed my metabolism. I still exercised, by everything I lost was due to what I ate,
not how much I moved.
As a grandmother in my early
50’s now, I still Somersize. Middle-age has caught up with me somewhat and I’m not as svelte as I was in my mid
40’s, but I would hate to see what I’d look like without it! I can’t imagine eating any other way. Somersize
is something one can stay on for life.
